Andersen Global announces the appointment of Maricla Pennesi as European Tax Coordinator
Andersen Global announces the appointment of Maricla Pennesi as the European Tax Coordinator. Additionally, Maricla is the new Head of Tax at Andersen Tax & Legal in Italy and, together with the new Partner Giovanni Gallucci, will strengthen the international tax practices in the firm.
Maricla Pennesi has 30 years of experience in international business reorganization, digital economy, and risk management, particularly on international tax issues, providing assistance to multinational corporations to prevent tax risks in running their activities and catching new business opportunities.
Maricla started her career at Andersen Legal and prior to joining Andersen Tax & Legal from EY, she spent almost 20 years with the tax practices of Big Four firms. In the last 10 years, she worked at international law firms such as Baker McKenzie and DLA Piper where she led the tax department. She is highly recommended as one of the most reputable international tax experts within the Italian and international markets in the main legal directories such as Chambers and Legal 500. She was also the winner of the prestigious international Client Choice Award 2017, 2016 and 2014 as The Best Italian Tax advisor within “Corporate Tax.” She has been a lecturer at the university, speaker at seminars, and the author of several publications.

Giovanni Gallucci provides assistance in favor of several Italian and foreign multinational groups on local tax compliance and international taxation matters, including risk-assessment procedures such as Tax Control Framework. He has wide experience in digital economy, M&A transactions, tax due diligence, tax implications of extraordinary transactions and business reorganization of multinational groups.
