BDO UK appoints two new tax partners: O’Doherty and Sewell
BDO LLP has grown its tax and audit expertise with the appointment of three new partners.
Liam O’Doherty is a tax partner in the firm’s Manchester office, where he will utilise his significant experience of advising real estate clients as well as supporting businesses in other sectors with specialist tax advice. He joins from PwC where he was a director.
Matthew Sewell also joins as a tax partner. He is a partner in the firm’s Bristol office and will provide tax services to fast-growing and multinational businesses in the South West, focusing on international tax services and supporting in-house finance and tax functions. He was formerly a tax partner at RSM.
Peter Smithson joins BDO as an audit partner in the Technology and Media (TM) team, bringing with him 17 years’ experience in the sector. He is based at the firm’s Baker Street office in London.
