Bruno Leroy joins tax team at Paul Hastings in Paris
Paul Hastings announced today that the firm’s growth in Europe is continuing with the addition of tax partner Bruno Leroy to the Paris office. Bruno joins from Dechert, where he focused on M&A and private equity tax structuring, as well as general tax advice to corporate clients.
“Bruno’s reputation and experience will strengthen our tax team in Paris and across Europe,” said Seth Zachary, chair of Paul Hastings. “His appointment will also help us extend our existing relationships and develop new relationships with French and pan-European private equity funds, their portfolio companies, as well as leading corporate clients.”
“I saw many synergies between my existing practice and the Private Equity and M&A practice at Paul Hastings,” said Leroy. “I’m looking forward to joining the Paris tax team, and being part of the growth of the firm in France.”
Leroy advises French and international companies in the context of complex tax structuring, including domestic and international acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, IPO, restructuring, development of international financings, optimization of funds flow and transfer pricing. He also advises high net worth individuals for tax optimization purposes and for the securitization of their tax position in France.
Paul Hastings has one of the leading private equity and leveraged finance practices in France, according to leading industry magazines and legal guides. Chambers Europe 2019 also notes the experience of our existing Paris tax team on private equity, M&A and capital markets transactions, with one client noting: “They are very sharp in the execution of transactions and very good at covering all the issues quickly,” with tax partner Allard de Waal described as “an excellent tax expert who is very pragmatic.”
