Capital allowances specialist Steven Bone joins Gateley Capitus
The London office of Gateley Capitus has appointed leading capital allowances specialist, Steven Bone, as a director in its rapidly expanding team.
Steven is a tax-qualified chartered surveyor and specialises in capital allowances and related property tax reliefs.
He joins Gateley from Baldwins Accountants where he worked for 15 years as a director.
Steven is a respected commentator in the capital allowances industry and is regularly invited to speak at tax events across the country, as well as contributing to a number of tax guides, including Bloomsbury Professional’s book, Capital Allowances: Transactions & Planning.
Steven stated: “This is a fantastic chance for me to grow and develop the Gateley Capitus team here in London and to make the most of the opportunities available.
“There are a significant number of businesses that are missing out on tax relief simply because they are unaware of how to make the most of claims. We want to help them identify where they may be able to pay less tax in a low-risk way and allow them to re-invest more in their businesses by claiming capital allowances.”
Head of Gateley Capitus, Aubrey Calderwood said: “I’m pleased to welcome Steven to the team and to expand our offering in London and the south of England.
“Gateley Capitus continues to go from strength to strength and I have no doubt that Steven will play an integral role in building on this so that we are able to support more businesses realise the tax relief that they are entitled to claim for the expenditure they incur on their capital assets.”
Steven will be speaking at the Bloomsbury Professional Property Tax Conference at the Burlington Hotel in Birmingham on 27th November where he will discuss recent changes in capital allowances law, including the new structures and buildings allowance.
