Dr. Pia Dorfmueller joins Dentons’ Frankfurt tax team
Dentons has strengthened its Tax practice in Germany with the recruitment of Dr. Pia Dorfmueller, who joined the Frankfurt office as a partner on June 1.

Pia Dorfmueller has over 20 years of experience in advising on corporate tax matters. Alongside international tax and tax structuring, she focuses on reorganizations, transactional tax as well as on tax controversy, in particular, joint audits. In addition to her advisory role, Pia Dorfmueller is the German country correspondent for Tax Notes International, an officer of the Taxes Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) as well as a board member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) Section Rhine-Main-Neckar. She is a member of the planning committee of the Tax Conference of the Women of IFA Network (WIN) Germany.
Pia Dorfmueller joins from P+P Pöllath + Partners in Frankfurt where she was a partner since 2011.

Dentons’ global Tax practice has grown substantially over the past three years, most recently with the hire of Dr. Gökçe Sarısu Kanmaz in Istanbul, Valeria Tarasenko in Kyiv und Lidia Charikova in Moscow. Globally, the team consists of more than 300 tax professionals. With the latest addition, Dentons’ European Tax practice counts 165 professionals, of which 38 are partners. In Germany, a total of 30 tax professionals, including seven partners, advise across the Firm’s four local offices.

With the latest addition, Dentons’ team in Frankfurt grows to a total of 70 lawyers, including 25 partners. The office thus continues its steep growth path of the last three years.
