Ralf Eckert succeeds Anna Anthony as Managing Partner for EY’s EMEIA Financial Services Tax & Legal practice

Ralf Eckert has been appointed Managing Partner for EY’s EMEIA Financial Services Tax & Legal practice, effective from January 2021. Mr Eckert was previously Managing Partner Tax & Legal FSO Switzerland and EMEIA Banking and Capital Markets Tax Lead. In his new role he will lead a team of more than 90 partners and 1,700 professionals.

He succeeds Anna Anthony who has held the role for the last six years. Ms Anthony has moved on to be Managing Partner for the UK Financial Services practice.

Mr Eckert has more than 20 years’ experience in Transactional Tax (Transfer Pricing, VAT), Tax Accounting and Reporting, Tax Risk Management and Reporting, and Corporate Income Tax and has deep knowledge in banking. Before joining EY in 2015 he held leadership roles at UBS and Credit Suisse.
