Rob Janering appointed VAT Partner at Crowe

Rob Janering’s has been appointed VAT Partner at Crowe.

Janering’s appointment as a corporate VAT partner bolsters Crowe’s corporate offering, giving the firm an even greater foothold in the corporate market.  Janering joined Crowe in June 2020 and has extensive prior experience as a VAT professional spanning almost two decades. He started his career with HMRC before taking on roles within top 10, Big Four and boutique consulting firms, as well as an industry role with Sony Pictures.

Since joining Crowe, Janering has focused on helping clients to manage the key indirect tax challenges affecting businesses in the post-Brexit period. In his new role he will lead nationally on VAT matters within the retail and e-commerce, manufacturing and TMT sectors. The broader Corporate VAT team has seen exponential growth across the past few years and now comprises 25 people in the UK, including a specialised Customs team designed to cater specifically to Brexit-related issues. Janering’s expertise in technology and process improvement is also reflected in the lead he is taking in applying new technologies to improve data management for clients.
