Osborne Clarke continues to expand international Tax Team, appointing incentives specialist Partner Anika Chandra
Osborne Clarke is expanding its international tax, employment and benefits offering with the appointment of a new incentives Partner – Anika Chandra – who joins the firm this week in London.
Anika brings a wealth of experience in employee incentives matters, the design and implementation of both share based and cash incentive arrangements and implementing international share plans globally. She regularly advises on the impact of corporate transactions, acquisitions, disposals and investments on employee incentives, and she also advises on a range of employment tax issues.
Anika is chairperson of the Share Plan Lawyers Group and also sits on the Lexis PSL Share Incentives Consultant Editorial Board.
Anika joins from Shoosmiths, where she was a Partner and headed the incentives practice, having previously worked at Stephenson Harwood, Allen & Overy and CMS. She will work closely with Michael Carter, who Heads Osborne Clarke’s Incentives team, which is part of the firm’s broader nine-Partner UK Tax practice. Victoria Parry, Head of the Advisory Group at Osborne Clarke, commented: “Our incentives practice has gone from strength to strength since Michael joined, and Anika will enable the practice to continue to grow in line with our 2025 strategy.”
Anika’s appointment follows on from the firm’s broader international expansion of its tax practice, having recently promoted Dorothée Chambon to head up the tax team in France and expanding its team with the appointment of Claudio Gristanti in Italy, partner Mathew Oliver in the UK and Job van der Pol in the Netherlands.
