5 new tax partners at KPMG Australia – read their bios
KPMG Australia has announced its new partner intake for 2017, with 62 new partners and executive directors named.
Of the total partner appointments, 42 percent are female.
5 new tax partners have been appointed:
Glen Hutchings, Sydney
Glen is a Partner within the Transfer Pricing Services practice. He worked for KPMG from 2007 to 2012, leaving to join the ATO. For the past four and half years he has been Assistant Commissioner within the Public Groups & International (PG&I) business line, comprising all public entities and foreign owned taxpayers.
His focus with the ATO was in the International area with an emphasis on shaping future compliance – from support and assistance work, advice, all the way through to audits and investigations. He played a key role in developing the ATO’s understanding of commercial business arrangements and how to better assist companies engage and work with the ATO.
Glenn Jackson, Sydney
Glenn has over 17 years experience providing tax compliance and advisory services to both inbound and outbound multinationals.
He currently leads the Non Financial Services corporate division of KPMG’s Delivery and Data Excellence (DDX) practice. DDX is an innovative on-shore compliance delivery model, underpinned by People Expertise, Process and Technology to help clients meet their tax obligations in an unpredictable environment.
He is also country leader for KPMG’s Global Compliance Management Services practice. GCMS helps businesses transform and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their tax and accounting functions through developing and executing a strategy for the management of compliance that can reduce the overall cost of compliance while enhancing quality and increasing the value obtained from their compliance activities.
Hayley Lock, Brisbane
Hayley works with clients to help ensure they can recruit, develop and retain talented people – particularly senior executives and expatriates. She has over 10 years’ experience both in commerce and within professional services providing advice on a range of taxation matters from salary packaging through to how to manage a payroll tax audit.
She works mostly with large, multi-national employers and, being based in Brisbane, has a keen interest in the ENR sector.

• Expatriate services: including – management of large global mobility tax programs; tax equalisation policy design and implementation; taxation and reporting on cross-border equity plans.
• Employment tax advisory services: including – fringe benefits tax; PAYG withholding; Superannuation Guarantee; payroll tax.

Lani van-Ooy, Sydney
Currently leading the Financial Services corporate tax division of KPMG’s Delivery and Data Excellence (DDX) practice, with over 17 years of tax compliance and advisory experience.

Lucas Georgiadis, Melbourne
Lucas specialises in private equity and large corporate M&A within KPMG Australia’s Deal Advisory – Tax practice.
He has significant large scale transaction experience advising across various sectors from both London and Australia. Prior to joining KPMG Australia, he worked for five years in KPMG’s private equity group based in London focussed on advising US and European private equity houses on international buyside transactions. He has also advised a number of private equity houses on their fund, carried interest and management equity structures.
