Blick Rothenberg, has appointed John Bull as the Head of Private Client and recruited five new Private Client Partners in the last six months.

Nimesh Shah, CEO of the firm, said: “I am delighted with John Bull’s appointment as Head of Private Client. John is one of the leading private client advisors in the country, and his leadership and contributions over the last few years have helped position Blick Rothenberg as one of the market leading private client teams in London.”

He added: “The external recruitment of Alex Foster, Travis Lee and Kelly Greig to our Private Client team reflects our continued investment and support of John’s vision to be the #1 private client business in London. Alex, Travis and Kelly bring different skills and strengths to our existing team. With the recruitment of Malli Kini and Helen Humphries earlier this year, the addition of three more new Private Client Partners to Blick Rothenberg represents the start of an exciting and ambitious period of growth for our people, clients and the business overall.”

John Bull said: “I am extremely proud to be appointed as Blick Rothenberg’s Head of Private Client. Our market leading Private Client team has a strong reputation in London and beyond, and I’m looking forward to building on that. We have a fantastic team of talented individuals, which is further bolstered by the recent recruitment to the Partner group of Alex, Travis and Kelly.”

He added: “The Private Client team are well equipped to help our client base deal with the anticipated changes in the upcoming Budget, and beyond, as the Labour Government looks to set out its agenda for the current term.”

Travis Lee said: “My role is to support ultra-high-net-worth-individuals (UHNWI) with tax and accounting issues affecting their succession planning, worldwide investments and family businesses. I advise clients from China, Hong Kong and other Asia regions. Previously I worked for a Big-Four firm in China and Hong Kong for 18 years.”

“UHNWIs are becoming more concerned with tax planning and compliance. Many families have presence, wealth and assets around the world, especially those with multiple-generations.”

Alex Foster said: “I have previously worked for two big four firms, EY and Deloitte. I provide personal tax advice to individuals, focusing on domicile, offshore structures and cross border matters. I also specialize in dealing with individuals involved in private equity funds.”

She added: “Most of my clients are currently dealing with a substantial amount of uncertainty regarding their UK tax exposure and I’m focused on guiding them through the tax changes; balancing it with their wider personal and business objectives.”

Kelly Greig, who is also worldwide chair of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), said: “I provide advice to high-net-worth individuals, trustees and family offices on the structuring of their affairs and the related tax consequences. I serve as a trusted advisor to my clients on both tax related and broader issues. I specialise in cross border tax issues, with a focus on UK/US in particular.”

She added: “We are seeing a rise in enquiries around the proposed changes to the UK non-dom regime which could lead to shifts in choices around residency and investment. Careful consideration of any changes to the rules is required, especially around existing arrangements.”
