Buzzacott, the independent accountancy and advisory firm based in the City of London, has announced the appointment of Jackie Hockney as Partner in its Private Client team.

Jackie joins from HockneyGrey Consulting, the firm she founded and led, and brings with her over 20 years experience advising high-net-worth international individuals, their families, trusts and family offices on personal tax planning, wealth protection and compliance. She spent much of her earlier career within the Big Four accountancy firms.

Jackie has a particular specialism in the personal tax implications of divorce and separation, which was the focus of HockneyGrey Consulting, and works closely with leading family law teams and mediators to provide a broad range of tax advice to parties undergoing financial remedy proceedings.

She is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), a Registered Trust & Estates Practitioner (TEP) and a member of the Resolution family law community.

Commenting on her appointment, Jackie said: “I am delighted to be joining Buzzacott and excited to start this next stage of my career as part of such a highly regarded Private Client team. I look forward to continuing to provide a high valued, compassionate service to our clients as well as working to bring Buzzacott’s broad expertise and resources together to further the professional support we can provide to clients undergoing divorce or separation.

Akin Coker, Head of Private Clients at Buzzacott, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Jackie to our team. Our clients’ affairs are becoming increasingly complex, often spanning several jurisdictions, generations and situations. Jackie has spent her career advising clients through these challenging scenarios, and her appointment means we can support clients across an even wider range of circumstances.”

Jackie’s appointment broadens the services offered by the firm’s Private Client team, which can now advise individuals and families on the tax implications of separation and divorce alongside its existing personal tax and wealth planning work.
