Meaden & Moore promotes tax specialist to VP
The regional accounting and business consulting firm of Meaden & Moore has elected a new Vice President – Principal.
Resident in the firm’s Akron office, Mr. [private]DiSalvo has been a key member of the firm’s Tax Services Group since joining the firm in 2005. He is a graduate of The University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in taxation. He has more than a dozen years of experience providing strategic tax, finance, accounting and business advisory services to companies and their owners in a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, wholesale, construction, medical, veterinary, real estate and technology. He assists taxpayers through proactive business consulting, tax planning, and compliance with taxing authorities.
Mr. DiSalvo has developed a particular expertise in state and local tax matters, especially multi-state taxation, nexus analysis and operational planning, voluntary disclosures, and state tax credits and incentives. He frequently represents taxpayers before tax authorities in federal, state and local tax controversies.
An active member of his community, Mr. DiSalvo is a board member and treasurer for the Tallmadge Foundation, a board member and finance committee member for Community Support Services Inc. of Summit County, and a member of the Italian American Professional and Businessmen’s Club and the Akron Tax Club. He also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.[/private]
