New FD for AFC Wimbledon is Rod Fraser

Rod Fraser has been appointed as Finance Director (Designate) to AFC Wimbledon. The recruitment process was led by the AFC Wimbledon board with support and input from representatives of the Dons Trust board.

Rod Fraser is an AFC Wimbledon fan, season ticket holder, PLC shareholder and founder member of the Dons Trust. He is a chartered accountant and during his career has been a finance director and CEO as well as running his own accountancy practice. More recently, Rod has worked with a number of local charities.

Rod is a long-time supporter of the club, his first game being the Amateur Cup Final in 1963. He said “I am delighted to be appointed to this role and look forward to contributing to the club that I love. I have always wanted to be involved and this is a great thrill for me.”

Acting Chief Executive Erik Samuelson said “we thought Rod was the best man for the job but it is a real bonus that he is also a season ticket holder, shareholder and founder DT member. It just shows how much talent there is among our fan base. The board is looking forward to working with Rod.”
