Packer Thomas has announced that Karen S. Cohen, CPA and Jeffrey R. Sheets, CPA became Principals in the firm effective October 1, 2006.

Mrs. Cohen is a graduate of Youngstown State University and has sixteen years experience in the accounting profession. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Estate Planning Council of Mahoning-Shenango Valley.

Her specific areas of expertise are personal income tax planning, taxation of trusts, gift and estate tax compliance, business pass-through entity planning and consulting, and education incentives planning.
