Freshfields Head of Tax in Paris gets Managing Partner Job
Antoine Colonna d’Istria, 45 years old, avocat a la Cour, has been appointed by his peers as managing partner of the Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer Paris office.
Antoine joined the firm in 2000 after having been a partner at the French firm Gide Loyrette Nouel. Antoine is also a member of the New York Bar, where he practised as a lawyer for three years with Rogers & Wells. His main areas of practice are French and international tax law. Antoine is a member of the International Fiscal Association and the Institut des Avocats et Conseils Fiscaux.
Antoine succeeds Jean-Claude Cotoni, who had been managing partner since 2004 and who remains a partner in the corporate group in Paris.
The Paris office comprises 183 lawyers, including 31 partners, and activity covers mainly business law advice, in particular mergers and acquisitions, finance, tax, litigation, arbitration, real estate, antitrust, competition and trade, employment, pensions and benefits, intellectual property and information technology, and public law.
