EY London taps Hedge Fund Tax Guru, Rob Mirsky, from Deloitte
Ernst & Young has announced that Robert Mirsky has joined its 350-people strong hedge funds advisory practice. Robert has been appointed as a tax partner in the industry-leading practice and joins from Deloitte, where he was head of their UK Hedge Fund Practice for over two and a half years. He will be working with the Ernst & Young team across all areas but will have a focus on the growing impact of cross border transactions and trading activity between Europe, Asia, and the US.
Robert brings a wealth of expertise to Ernst & Young. He has worked with Big Four advisory firms in the London, New York, Washington DC, Milan, Bangkok and Cayman Islands markets and specialises in the structuring and ongoing activities of hedge funds. He has considerable experience in the establishment, operation, and structuring of efficient trading for both offshore and onshore hedge funds. He has handled the tax aspects of cross-border financings, financial products, international mergers & acquisitions, insurance and project financings.

Robert is a US trained lawyer and has authored many articles about industry, taxation, and regulatory trends. His writing credits also include contributions to the book Hedge Funds and Prime Brokers (Risk Books, 2007). He is also chairman of the industry-supported charity Hedge Funds Care UK which works toward the treatment and prevention of child abuse.
