Tax Lawyer from Bakers joins board of Rothschild Private Bank
Rothschild Private Bank has invited Baker & McKenzie tax partner, Philip Marcovici, to sit on its board of directors.
Mr Marcovici has practised in the area of international taxation throughout his legal career and was based in the Hong Kong office of Baker & McKenzie for twelve years. He relocated to the Zurich office of Baker & McKenzie in 1996 and has also practised in New York and Vancouver.
Philip Marcovici’s legal practice has involved advising multinationals, financial institutions and families on the international and domestic aspects of Canadian, Hong Kong and U.S. taxation, as well as on commercial issues relevant to cross-border transactions. Philip Marcovici has also been active in advising clients on issues related to the use of trusts and insurance products.
The author of numerous tax oriented publications, Philip has also been an honorary lecturer at the law school of Hong Kong University and at the law school of the Universities of Geneva and Zurich. Philip is an adviser to the Swiss Banking School in relation to its executive MBA program in wealth management and is a lecturer on tax issues for that program, a joint venture including the Universities of Geneva, Lausanne, St. Gallen and Zürich, as well as Carnegie Mellon University.
