Sarah Pickering to launch Alvarez & Marsal Taxand’s UK Reward and Compensation Group
Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) TAXAND has launched a Reward and Compensation Group in the UK, as it continues to broaden its range of taxation capabilities. Sarah Pickering, a former partner at Ernst & Young LLP, will lead the Group, which will operate in Europe and globally via the TAXAND network, will advise companies on the HR, tax, legal and accounting issues associated with employee incentives, helping employers’ to maximise the cost-effectiveness of their reward programmes whilst enhancing the value of the benefits for employees. The team will work alongside senior management to review and implement effective remuneration structures. Working with the global Taxand network A&M can now offer clients another choice of provider in this business critical area.
TAXAND is the first global network of independent tax advisers, with member firms in more than 40 countries. Alvarez & Marsal TAXAND is a founding member of the global network, with the UK branch joining the TAXAND network in October 2007. Other tax services provided include transfer pricing, international tax planning and tax litigation.
Sarah Pickering, formerly a partner with the Human Capital practice at Ernst & Young, has joined as a Managing Director to lead the firm’s Reward and Compensation Group. She specialises in advising companies on the design, implementation and communication of employee reward programmes, as well as assisting companies in managing people change through corporate transactions, from due diligence to post-merger implementation.
