Arnold & Porter LLP has announced the addition of a tax partner in the NY office.[private]
Ms. Mann, who joined Arnold & Porter’s tax practice as a partner on August 10. She has nearly 20 years of experience in corporate tax law, working on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, hedge fund and private equity fund formation, bankruptcy restructurings and workouts, financial products, and executive compensation. Ms. Mann concentrates her practice on tax planning, specifically the international, federal, state, and local tax aspects of tax-free and taxable acquisitions, sales, and combinations of incorporated and unincorporated entities and their assets; equity and debt restructurings in bankruptcies and insolvencies; hedge and private equity funds and the use of S corporations, trusts, partnership, and limited liability companies. She also has experience with tax issues in leasing transactions and registered US and international securities offerings. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School. Ms. Mann joins more than 25 lawyers in the firm’s tax group, which has experience in managing complex, precedent-setting tax problems and opportunities critical to US and international business and economic transactions.
