Windes & McClaughry hires new Tax & Accounting Partner
Windes & McClaughry Accountancy Corporation, a leading Southern California accounting and consulting firm with 85 years in business, has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Fields, as a partner in its Tax and Accounting Services Practice. He is based out of Windes & McClaughry’s Orange County office located in Irvine.
Prior to joining Windes & McClaughry, Fields was a partner with Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt in Costa Mesa where he was responsible for managing and increasing the client base and overseeing continuing education and recruiting efforts for the office. Additionally, Fields spent thirteen years in KPMG’s federal tax practice where he focused on corporate taxation.

Fields’ experience has ranged from consulting for Fortune 500 companies to tax compliance for small family-owned corporations, including S corporations. Additionally, Fields has extensive experience with Financial Accounting Standards No. 109 (FAS109), Accounting for Income Taxes, and he served as the FAS109 trainer for KPMG’s southwest region. Fields provides tax services to various industry sectors, including restaurant, hospitality, technology, and manufacturing corporations, while maintaining a client base with real estate partnerships and high-net-worth individuals. “I couldn’t be more honored to join such a well-respected and trusted firm with a legacy in the community,” says Fields. “I’m looking forward to making a positive contribution to the firm.”
Fields has a master of science degree in taxation from Golden Gate University and a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from California State University, Fullerton. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA). Fields also serves on the board of directors for the Children’s Bureau, a charitable organization with programs geared towards the prevention of child abuse in Orange County.
