Andy Tarquinio promoted – now Head of Grant Thornton’s Melville tax practice
Grant Thornton US has named Andy Tarquinio as partner-in-charge of the firm’s Melville Tax practice effective Aug. 1.
Tarquinio, who is transitioning from the firm’s Midtown office, will work closely with the New York leadership team to provide distinctive client service and expand the scope of the Melville office’s service offerings.
“Andy has been influential in raising the firm’s profile while providing exceptional knowledge of the changing corporate tax landscape,” said Frank Kurre, managing partner of Grant Thornton’s Metro New York Cluster. “He is committed to the firm’s growth and development in the Long Island marketplace as well as the greater New York area.”
Tarquinio has been a partner with the firm for 13 years and has extensive experience serving public and privately held companies. He has provided tax compliance and consulting services in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, retail, distribution, technology, service, real estate and solar energy.
He is a certified public accountant in New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
