Marina Raulings resigns from Minter Ellison to join partnership at Hall & Wilcox
Australian law firm, Hall & Wilcox, has recruited tax partner Marina Raulings and senior associate, Amanda Leong.
Marina advises corporate clients on several fronts, including in relation to stamp duty, tax disputes and the tax treatment of intangibles. She also brings specialist expertise on tax issues relevant to the digital economy and e-business. She was formerly Special Counsel at Minter Ellison’s Tax Group where she advised some of Australia’s largest listed corporates and acted on large, complex transactions. She is based in the Melbourne office.
Tony Macvean, Managing Partner of Hall & Wilcox, said tax has long been a strength of the firm. “Our tax practice has an enviable reputation. We are pleased to be able to further build our corporate and transactional tax capability nationally.
“Marina and Amanda’s experience continues to increase our corporate tax strength, complementing our market leading mid-market and private tax capabilities. Marina’s specialisation in tax for digital and e-commerce is a particularly unique offering and is aligned with our focus on smarter law and new economies.”
Hall & Wilcox Tax practice head, Peter Murray, said Marina’s stamp duty experience would be a great asset to the tax practice. “Stamp duty is an especially important capability in our practice, given our sector strength in areas such as property development, funds management, corporate restructures, and M&A.”
