José Chiarella joins Garrigues to lead the tax team in Lima
José Francisco Chiarella, who has twenty years’ experience in the world of business law, is joining Garrigues as a partner, to coordinate the tax law department of its Lima office. This addition will add even greater strength to the Peruvian team, which is made up of over twenty lawyers (six of whom are partners) specializing in the main areas of business law.
José Chiarella joins Garrigues from the Peruvian law firm Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados, where he has provided tax advisory services in relation to numerous international projects, particularly in the areas of planning, commercial transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to this, he worked at the Luxembourg office of Ernst & Young as a consultant in the areas of tax planning and structuring of international transactions.
He is also the author of several publications on international tax law and has participated in numerous conferences organized by institutions such as the International Fiscal Association (IFA) or the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
