Neptune Energy recruits Preben Jøker Thorsen as Head of Group Tax

Preben Jøker Thorsen has relocated to London to join the independent oil & gas E&P company, Neptune Energy. He will be designing, implementing and leading a full range tax function.

Mr Thorsen initially trained as a lawyer and has lectured extensively at Copenhagen University in both criminal and contracts law. He started to specialise in tax in 2001 at a Nordic law firm and in 2004 moved in-house with A.P. Molller – Maersk, initially as an international tax manager. He was promoted frequently and held a number of senior positions over a 13 year period, including Global Head of Tax for the Maersk Drilling and Maersk Supply businesses.
