New tax hires at KPMG’s US practice

Crystal Wiley has joined KPMG as a principal in the New York Financial Services Asset Management Tax practice. Crystal comes from PwC, where she served as a tax director, and was previously a tax manager at Silver Point Capital. 

Christopher Bajec has rejoined KPMG as a partner in the State and Local Tax practice based in Fort Worth, Texas. Christopher returns from The Energy & Minerals Group, where he served as the chief tax officer, and previously held various positions at KPMG.

Rudy Newell has joined KPMG as a Business Tax Services partner in the Asset Management – Alternative Investments practice based in Minneapolis. Rudy comes from Castlelake, where he served as a global tax director. Prior to that role, he held various positions at EY.

Giorgio Massari Figari has rejoined KPMG as a managing director in the International Tax practice based in Miami. Giorgio returns from Alvarez & Marsal, where he served as a senior director for the Latin America Complex Transactions Tax practice, and previously worked for SoftBank as the head of tax for the Latin America Fund, Opportunity Fund and Miami Initiative, as well as the KPMG M&A Tax and International Tax practices.

Craig Lewis has joined KPMG as a managing director in the Business Tax Services practice based in Atlanta. Connor comes from Deloitte, where he served as a senior manager in the Business Tax Services practice.

Nicholas Stavrakis has rejoined KPMG as a managing director in the Economic and Valuation Services practice’s Transfer Pricing group based in New York. Nicholas returns from Peloton, where he most recently served as a senior director in the international tax function. Prior to that role, he was a managing director in the KPMG Transfer Pricing group.

John Anderson has joined KPMG as a managing director in the Trade and Customs practice based in Denver. John comes from Avant International LLC, a boutique export control consulting firm, that he helped establish in 2010.

Stephen Stewart has joined KPMG as a managing director in the State and Local Tax practice’s Property Tax group based in Houston. Stephen comes from Ryan LLC, where he most recently served as a director in the Property Tax group, and previously worked as a tax examiner at the IRS.
