Frederic Dupont joins Weidema van Tol as Real Estate and Tax Partner
Weidema van Tol has announced the appointment of Frederic Dupont .
An experienced tax attorney with over 16 years of experience, including 12 years in Luxembourg, Frederic has joined Weidema van Tol as head of its Real Estate and Luxembourg Tax practice. Frederic is based in the firm’s Luxembourg office. Frederic was previously Country Managing Partner and Head of Tax in Luxembourg for a well known international French law firm (Jeantet) , International Tax Director and Head of Capital Markets Practice for a multinational tax advisory firm based in Luxembourg (Atoz) and also worked for Deloitte and Clifford Chance.
In addition to his extensive direct and indirect tax background, Frederic has experience in real estate investment structures, cash pooling, intellectual property, investment funds, restructuring and structured finance. He has provided advice to entrepreneurs, private equity firms and multinational groups. Frederic is described in The Legal 500 ranking for the year 2016 as providing “an impeccable service to fund clients on tax-structuring issues” and that he is “excellent at real estate-related tax issues”.
Examples of transactions closed by Frederic during 2016 include a real estate asset acquisition in Germany with a deal value of EUR 700M, a real estate asset transaction in Belgium with a deal value of EUR 300M as well as multiple real estate acquisitions or restructuring transactions in several other European countries.

Frederic holds a master’s degree in Business Law from University Paris II (Assas), an LLM in Business Law from the University of Munich and a Business Law Master (DJCE) and Postgraduate Diploma (DESS) in Business and Tax Law from the University of Strasbourg. He is admitted to the bar in Paris and Luxembourg.
