Corporate taxation specialist Mark Webb has been promoted to associate director at the accountants Smith & Williamson. He joined the firm in 1998 as a graduate trainee.

“I think my development and promotion demonstrates the firm’s commitment to young people and their careers,” said Mark, whose specialisms including advising on the taxation of companies in liquidation and administration, working closely with the firm’s Restructuring & Recovery department. “I deal with any corporate tax queries regarding corporate simplification, reorganisation or business turnaround.”

Mark joined the firm from a legal background and has developed particular experience in the financial, property and retail business sectors.
