Gary Rooney joins Dains to lead Tax Investigations

Midlands based accountancy firm, Dains, has hired Gary Rooney to lead its Tax Investigations practice.

Gary joined the profession some ten years ago having served over fifteen years in, what was then, the then Inland Revenue. He enjoyed tours of duty with Special Office and Special Compliance Office dealing with almost every type and level of investigation in the process. Since joining the profession Gary continued his development with KPMG and PwC before joining Dains.

His particular areas of expertise include cases of suspected serious fraud worked under Code of Practice 9 (2005) (also known as ‘Hansard’), Local and Area office investigations, testimonials and sports issues and foreign entertainers. He has also been instrumental in assisting several legal teams in prosecution cases.
