Michael Cashman joins Dorsey & Whitney as tax partner in London
International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced yesterday that Michael Cashman, has joined the Firm’s London office as a partner in the Tax Group. Mr. Cashman is a solicitor and a chartered accountant. He has extensive experience in both UK and international transactional tax matters.
Mr. Cashman’s practice spans general corporate tax advice, transactions and corporate tax planning. He has wide experience designing both UK and cross-border tax efficient structures (particularly UK/US tax planning) and share incentive arrangements for both large organizations and startups. Mr. Cashman’s experience includes a significant amount of M&A transactional work, especially in the technology and digital media areas, and also tax planning advice to entrepreneurs and entities both in the UK and cross-border.
Before joining Dorsey, Mr. Cashman was head of the tax group at Kemp Little in London. He is recommended for corporate tax in both Legal 500 and Chambers. Mr. Cashman received a BEc/LLB from Macquarie University in Sydney. He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants and is also an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
