Gerard Blokland and Natalie Reypens get partnership at Loyens & Loeff

Loyens & Loeff has appointed Gerard Blokland, Bastiaan Cornelisse, Tom van Helmond, Natalie Reypens and Michael Scott partners effective from 1 January 2015. The total number of partners will be 103 as of 2015.

Gerard Blokland is a member of the general Tax practice group. He specialises in advising (inter)national family businesses and their managing directors/major shareholders, for which he possesses a wide and international tax expertise. Within the firm he acts as point of contact for reports and agreements with the tax authorities on the application of the so-called innovation box. His appointment underlines the importance and the growing size of this practice group within Loyens & Loeff.

Gerard has been with the Firm since 2002 and is based in Amsterdam office.

Natalie Reypens is a member of the general Tax practice group in Belgium and the head of the Belgian Transfer Pricing team.

Natalie’s practice is focused on corporate tax law and international tax law, including matters relating to domestic and cross-border corporate restructuring, mergers and acquistions, tax treaty issues, withholding tax requirements as well as holdings and financing structures. In addition to advising on and drafting legal documentation, tax opinions and tax rulings, she also provides assistance at every stage of the resolution process from audit examination to tax appeals.

Natalie has considerable experience is transfer pricing. She performs transfer pricing analyses, including benchmark studies, prepares transfer pricing documentation, negotiates advance pricing agreements and provides assistance in the dispute resolution process. Natalie is the author of the Belgian chapter of an international reference work on transfer pricing.

Natalie has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 1997.
